The HAR Lounge
During HAR2009 I was leader of the Designteam, who was in charge of developing the lounge area. This area was a large tent including a bar, decorated with soft carpet, beanbags, and lots of pillows.

The festival itself occupied around 2500 people. A lot of them also visited the lounge. It was a place to relax, enjoy the atmosphere and to communicate with like minded people.
The Lounge was situated in the amphitheatre of the large camping area of the festival. We've made a wooden floor to make sure people wouldn't get wet feet when it would rain. This floor was coated with carpet, to create a more cosy and 'living room' feel.
The Lounge consisted of two area's; one area were shoes were allowed, and the area with the carpet, where they weren't. A group of children helped with the decoration of the 'wall' in between those two area's.
There were a lot of beanbags, even more pillows and lots of other soft stuff to sit on. We've made pacman-ghosts-stools to sit on and as an extra decoration. There were also side tables to put drinks on.
The finishing touch was created by the guys of Art-Event. They did a great job with the lights which they created in all kids of colours and shapes.
